The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is one of the world’s largest professional organizations for in-house legal counsel, representing more than 40,000 attorneys employed by over 10,000 corporations and organizations across 85 countries.
Its annual gathering is the premier professional development event for a global community spanning every major industry and jurisdiction on the planet. For an organization built on credibility and continuing legal education, the production environment is not a backdrop — it is a statement.
PCG was engaged to design and execute a stage environment that would hold the attention of a globally diverse professional audience across a multi-session program, while providing the technical reliability that live-streamed CLE delivery demands.
OBJECTIVE
Provide a live and proactive forum for counsels across the globe to build community, learn curated subject matter, and support members with the continuing learning requirements for their licensure — delivered through a production environment that projects the authority and clarity the ACC brand demands. The production needed to work reliably across multi-day, multi-session programming, including live streaming for remote CLE-credit delivery.
OUR APPROACH
PCG’s production team began with a site survey and acoustics assessment weeks before the event. The design brief called for a stage that puts the speaker — not the equipment — at the center: clean sightlines, controlled lighting angles, and a video system that made every attendee in every row feel equally close to the presenter.
The production package included:
- Large-format LED display wall with calibrated color temperature for broadcast-accurate skin tones
- Blended front projection for secondary content and speaker support slides
- Theatrical lighting rig with dedicated key, fill, and backlight positions at each speaker position
- Wireless microphone system with full RF coordination to eliminate interference in a dense convention center environment
- House audio reinforcement tuned to the room’s acoustic profile, with delay fills for the rear section
- Live capture and streaming infrastructure for CLE-credit delivery to remote attendees
On-site crew included a technical director, lighting operator, audio engineer, and two stage managers — maintaining production quality across the full multi-day run.
THE RESULT
The production delivered an environment that matched ACC’s institutional standards session after session. Member retention and engagement strengthened year after year — a metric ACC attributes in part to the consistency and quality of the live event experience.
The repeatable production framework PCG established for ACC’s annual gathering has become the template for subsequent conferences in the portfolio.
