Who Writes Our Content
All content on pcg.live is written or directly reviewed by working AV production professionals — not generalist writers. Our editorial team is led by Justin Hamilton, Founder and Lead Production Director of Pro Connect Group, who holds a CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) credential through AVIXA. Supporting contributors include our on-staff AV technicians, production designers, and event managers who collectively have produced hundreds of live, hybrid, and virtual events across Portland and the Pacific Northwest since 2014.
Our Editorial Standards
- First-hand experience only. We do not publish advice we haven’t applied on real events. Budget figures, timelines, and technical specifications come from actual project data.
- Practitioner review. Every technical article is reviewed by at least one active AV technician or production manager before publication.
- Named authorship. Articles are attributed to a named member of the PCG team, not to a generic brand byline.
- No sponsored content. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage or product recommendations. Equipment and vendor references reflect our genuine working experience.
- Dates are accurate. Every article carries a visible publication date and is updated when information becomes outdated.
How We Fact-Check
Technical claims — wattage ratings, throw distances, rigging load limits, streaming bandwidth requirements — are verified against current manufacturer specifications and AVIXA standards before publication. Where standards evolve (as they frequently do in live production technology), we update articles accordingly and note the revision date.

If you believe any information on this site is inaccurate, we want to know. Contact us at info@pcg.live with the specific claim and your source. We review all correction requests within 5 business days and publish corrections prominently if warranted.
