About Pro Connect Group
What is Pro Connect Group?
Pro Connect Group (PCG) is an independent AV and event production company based in Portland, Oregon. We own our equipment, employ our own crew, and produce events across the Pacific Northwest and nationally — corporate conferences, motorsports events, house of worship installations, weddings, festivals, and hybrid productions. We are not a hotel in-house contractor and have no venue allegiance.
Where is Pro Connect Group located?
PCG is headquartered at 6541 SE Johnson Creek Blvd, Portland, OR 97206. Our main phone number is (503) 343-9700 and our email is justin@pcg.live. We are open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm Pacific.
Who leads Pro Connect Group?
Pro Connect Group was founded by Justin Hamilton, CTS (Certified Technology Specialist, AVIXA). Justin has 20+ years of experience in live event, corporate, and motorsports AV production across the Pacific Northwest and nationally. He serves as the primary production director on PCG’s events.
Is Pro Connect Group CTS certified?
Yes. PCG’s founder and production director, Justin Hamilton, holds a CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) credential from AVIXA — the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association. CTS is the industry’s primary professional certification for AV technologists.
How long has Pro Connect Group been in business?
Pro Connect Group has been operating since 2014, with over 20 years of combined team experience in live event, corporate, hybrid, and motorsports AV production.
Services
What services does Pro Connect Group offer?
PCG offers full-service event production and AV services including: audio production (line arrays, wireless microphones, monitor systems), LED video walls and projection, theatrical and event lighting, staging and rigging, production management and show calling, hybrid and livestream production (multi-camera broadcast, encoding, virtual platform integration), wireless intercom systems, and AV equipment rental. We also provide permanent AV installation for houses of worship.
Does PCG own its equipment?
Yes. PCG owns every piece of equipment in our inventory — line arrays, LED video walls, intelligent lighting fixtures, staging, power distribution, and intercom systems. We do not rent equipment from third-party suppliers for your event. This means consistent quality, known performance, and no third-party logistics delays.
Does PCG offer equipment rental without crew?
Yes. PCG rents equipment with or without crew. Rental-only options are available for clients who have their own qualified technical staff. Full-service production (equipment + crew + production director) is available for clients who want a complete turnkey production partner.
What AV equipment does PCG have in inventory?
PCG’s inventory includes line array PA systems, subwoofers, stage monitors, wireless microphone systems, in-ear monitor systems, digital mixing consoles, LED video walls (indoor and outdoor-rated), projectors, video switchers, intelligent moving lights, LED wash fixtures, haze machines, staging platforms, power distribution systems, DECT wireless intercom systems (Pliant Technologies MicroCom XR), and broadcast streaming encoders. See the full equipment inventory page.
Where PCG Works
Does Pro Connect Group travel outside Portland?
Yes. PCG travels nationally for corporate events, motorsports productions, and other engagements where clients need a consistent independent production team. We have produced events across Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Texas, Tennessee, and beyond. We travel with our own equipment and crew.
What cities does PCG serve?
PCG is based in Portland, Oregon and serves the full Pacific Northwest including Vancouver, WA, Salem, OR, and Bend, OR as primary service areas. For national travel, we regularly produce events in Las Vegas, NV, Austin, TX, Nashville, TN, and other major conference cities. We will travel to any U.S. market for the right event.
Does PCG produce events in Las Vegas?
Yes. PCG produces corporate events in Las Vegas as an independent production alternative to hotel in-house contractors. We coordinate directly with hotel properties, handle outside vendor fees, and deploy professional RF coordination for Las Vegas’s uniquely dense wireless spectrum environment. Learn more at our Las Vegas AV production page.
Does PCG produce events in Austin, TX or Nashville, TN?
Yes. PCG produces corporate events in Austin (including motorsports productions at Circuit of The Americas) and Nashville (corporate conferences, association meetings, and awards shows). See our Austin page and Nashville page for details.
Corporate Events
Can PCG work at hotels that have in-house AV contractors?
Yes. Almost all hotel venues accommodate outside AV companies through an outside vendor or “patch fee” arrangement. PCG handles all venue coordination, fee negotiation, and load-in logistics. You do not need to manage the hotel relationship — we handle it as part of our production management service.
What is the difference between PCG and hotel in-house AV?
Hotel in-house AV companies (such as Encore/PSAV) pay hotels 30–50% of your AV bill as a commission. That commission comes out of equipment quality and crew depth. PCG is an independent company with no hotel allegiance — every dollar goes toward your production. We own our equipment, our crew knows your program, and we work for you, not the property. For events with AV budgets over $15,000, independent production typically delivers better outcomes at comparable or lower cost. Read more in our independent vs. in-house AV guide.
What size corporate events does PCG handle?
PCG produces events from 50-person executive meetings to 3,000-person general sessions. We scale equipment and crew to the event — no oversized national contractor overhead, no undersized local rental shop.
How far in advance should I book PCG for a corporate event?
For events in Portland and the Pacific Northwest, 4–6 weeks is typically sufficient for smaller productions; 8–12 weeks is recommended for larger general sessions or events with custom scenic or LED configurations. For events in peak convention cities (Las Vegas in January, March, October; Nashville during CMA Fest), 10–14 weeks advance booking is recommended.
Hybrid & Livestream Events
Does PCG produce hybrid and livestream events?
Yes. PCG’s hybrid event production includes multi-camera broadcast (typically 3–5 cameras), a dedicated streaming encoder independent of the in-room program mix, virtual platform integration (Zoom, Teams, Hopin, etc.), and a separate stream mix so virtual attendees get a quality audio experience, not a room mic feed. Learn more at our hybrid event production page.
Weddings
Does PCG produce weddings?
Yes. PCG provides full AV production for weddings including ceremony audio (wireless lapel and handheld microphones, ceremony PA), cocktail hour music, reception sound (DJ-ready or band-ready systems), uplighting and event lighting, LED video walls for monogram or slideshow display, and optional ceremony or reception livestream for remote guests. Learn more at our wedding AV page.
Can PCG provide AV for outdoor Oregon weddings?
Yes. PCG regularly produces outdoor weddings at wineries, estates, gardens, and farm venues across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. Outdoor production requires weatherized equipment, generator power in some cases, and careful RF coordination — all within PCG’s standard scope of service.
Motorsports
Does PCG produce AV for motorsports events?
Yes. Motorsports AV is one of PCG’s core specializations. We provide high-SPL outdoor PA systems, DECT wireless intercom for race operations, outdoor LED video walls (5,000+ nit outdoor-rated panels), RF coordination around car electronics and timing transponders, and professional commentary systems. Learn more at our motorsports page or read our motorsports AV production guide.
What motorsports events has PCG produced?
PCG has produced AV for circuit races, time trials, drift competitions, and national series events at venues across Oregon and Washington. We travel for national series events including events at Texas-based facilities such as Circuit of The Americas.
House of Worship
Does PCG work with churches and houses of worship?
Yes. PCG provides both live production services and permanent AV installation for churches and faith communities. Our house of worship work includes wireless intercom systems (we installed the Pliant Technologies MicroCom XR system at Foothills Community Church in Molalla, OR), live streaming systems, audio reinforcement, and LED video walls. We also train volunteer crew on how to operate the systems we install. Learn more at our house of worship AV page.
Booking & Process
How do I get a quote from Pro Connect Group?
Contact us at pcg.live/contact-us, call (503) 343-9700, or email justin@pcg.live. We’ll ask about your event date, venue, attendance, and AV requirements — then provide a line-item quote you can compare directly with any other proposals you receive.
What information does PCG need to provide a quote?
The most useful information: event date and location, expected attendance, venue name (if confirmed), type of event (conference, gala, wedding, etc.), any specific AV elements you know you need (LED wall, live stream, multiple wireless mics, stage lighting), and your general budget range. We can work from a rough brief and refine as planning develops.
Technical Questions
Does PCG handle RF coordination for wireless microphones?
Yes. PCG performs professional RF coordination for all events using wireless systems — scanning the actual RF environment at the venue before the show, coordinating frequencies across all wireless devices on site, and deploying backup plans for congested spectrum environments like Las Vegas convention properties and large outdoor motorsports venues.
What wireless intercom system does PCG use?
PCG deploys Pliant Technologies MicroCom XR DECT wireless intercom systems. DECT operates in the 1.9 GHz spectrum, well separated from the UHF and VHF bands used by audio wireless systems and car electronics, providing reliable communication in the dense RF environments common at corporate events, motorsports venues, and houses of worship.
